Hi again! We are getting to the end of this semester yet before finishing, there are still a few things to learn! One of them is 'Augmented Reality in Elt'.
Augmented Reality is a new thing but it is also a very hot topic in the English classrooms but you know, we need to be ready for our future students!
Me and my friend Birdem, worked together on this project. First, after learning about this AR universe and how it is integrated into classrooms, we started with choosing a country for our students to explore which is South Africa. We used Canva to prepare the worksheets and used YouTube to find the materials. In this project, we want our students to scan the qr codes we created using the QrCode Monkey website, then, they watch 360 degrees videos to explore the places in South Africa. Finally, they answer some questions to make the best out of this experience. Lastly, with what they learn, students create an instagram post to wrap up the task.
This was a whole new journey for us. Due to the lack of applications and tools in this area, it was challenging to find the materials. They are limited and little bit hard to acces. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and things will improve with a blink of an eye, just like all the other developments in technology.
You can find the materials we created at the bottom. Also you can click here to see them.
Stay Safe!
